Porcelain Jewellery

 beginners course $300 (includes tuition, firing, tools and equipment)

 

 

This course covers all the basics on making your own porcelain jewellery.

 Discover how to make gorgeous rings, pendants, earrings and brooches.

The possibilities are endless

 

Day 1 *Saturday (4 hours)
Introduction to ceramics and working with porcelain.
Design principles and considerations.
Introduction to the firing processes.
Demonstrations on how to make rings, pendants, earrings and brooches.
Students make pieces under tutor guidance.

Day 2 *Sunday (2 hours)
Students prepare pieces ready for bisque fire.

Day 3 *Sunday (4 hours)
All pieces have been bisque fired.
Glazing & introduction to tissue transfer decoration.
Pieces are prepared for glaze firing.

Day 4 *Saturday (4 hours)
All pieces have been glaze fired.
Lustre demonstration & application.
Introduction on how to assemble finished pieces into wearable jewellery.

Day 5 *Sunday (2 hours + lunch)
Assemble finished pieces and gather for lunch to celebrate.
